Personal Information
One is always in the dark regarding one’s own personality. One needs others, to know oneself.
Presuppositions and Goals for my work with the Enneagram
We humans are unique; none of us are the same. Nevertheless, our personality structure shows certain traits that we share with people of the same type. This means we share the manner in which our inner experiences and our visual behaviour are organised with other persons who have the same character pattern as ourselves.
Knowing my own pattern helps me to go beyond the borders set by it. Recognising other people’s patterns helps me to understand, rather than to judge.
Working closely with the Enneagram over the past years, has turned my personal development into an exciting journey of discovery. It has also become the basis of my work as trainer, instructor and coach.
What would I like to achieve? By explaining the Enneagram in theory and by practical exercises, my goal is for it to be put to use, not only in everyday situations but also in the business world. I would like to be able to contribute towards helping people
- regard themselves realistically- but with benevolence
- develop understanding and empathy for their fellow human beings
- understand “Otherness” and what is “Strange” rather than condemning
- recognise and develop strengths, potential and resources in themselves and in others.
